As far as Pune is concerned, MHADA registration for the year 2023 began on the 5th of January 2023. MHADA lottery is on a first-come-first serve basis. The deadline was extended for the second time and applications were allowed to be submitted till March 25, 2023. According to a report by the Indian Express, over 82000 people had registered for the MHADA lottery this year. MHADA homes are for specific income groups. These income groups are categorised into economically weaker sections (EWS), low-income groups (LIG), and middle-income groups (MIG) and high-income groups (HIG). Wondering why HIGs are also included? Well, although the starting price of a home in a MHADA complex is around ₹14.6 lakhs, the highest price point can go well up to ₹5.8 crores.
